The Omaha Area Youth Orchestras inspire and educate young musicians by providing a rigorous and enlightening orchestral experience.
OAYO provides the only music education program of its kind in the area. The six orchestras and 18 chamber music ensembles provide high-level musical instruction and performance opportunities including concerts, outreach events and retreats.

Encouraging Youth Musicianship in the Greater Omaha Area Since 1958
The Omaha Area Youth Orchestras was started in 1958 through a joint partnership between the metro area public schools and the Omaha Symphony Guild. Over 50 years later, the Omaha Area Youth Orchestras has grown to an independent, non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and an expanding professional staff.
